For faces, figures, and the details that make someone themselves.

The Albrecht Dürer Watercolor Markers by Faber-Castell combine richly pigmented watercolor color with the convenience of a dual-tip marker—one of our personal favorite tools for sketchbooks, illustration, travel journals, and creative work on the go.

The Portrait set of five offers a compact palette for portrait studies, figures, faces, and expressive sketching. Use the flexible brush tip for washes and broader areas of color, the fiber tip for finer lines and details, then introduce water to blend, soften, and build watercolor effects.

Why We Love Them

These really are one of our favorites.

Portrait drawing is as much about looking as it is about drawing, and we like how little equipment this set puts between the two. Five colors, two tips, a sketchbook, and perhaps a little water are enough to start exploring shape, shadow, expression, and all those small details that make a face interesting.

And despite the name, we wouldn't reserve these strictly for portraits. A thoughtfully chosen five-color palette is an invitation to see what else you can make with it.
