Make a storybook character from wool. Bonnet included.

The Beatrix Potter™ Jemima Puddle-Duck Needle Felting Craft Kit from The Crafty Kit Company lets you create your own three-dimensional version of the much-loved Beatrix Potter character, complete with her pink spotted shawl and baby-blue bonnet.

Designed as an Enthusiast-level project, the kit combines Corriedale wool with wire and pipe-cleaner structure to build Jemima from the inside out. Glass eyes and carefully felted details bring her expression and familiar clothing to life, while full-color instructions guide you through each stage.

With approximately 10 hours of making time, this is a project to settle into rather than rush through. The finished Jemima stands approximately 26 cm tall, making her a substantial handmade piece for displaying alongside favorite books, adding to a collection, or simply admiring because you made an entire Jemima Puddle-Duck from wool.

Kit Includes

Why We Love It

There's something especially wonderful about making a character you've known from a book.

Jemima begins as wool, wire, and a collection of small components. Over the course of the project, she acquires a recognizable shape, an expression, a shawl, and—critically—a very good bonnet.

It's a satisfying challenge for an experienced felter, but we also love the connection between storytelling and making. Instead of simply displaying a favorite character, you get to spend ten hours constructing her yourself.

And frankly, any craft project involving the phrase “now make the duck's bonnet” already has our attention.
