A Christmas scene that grows one little piece at a time.
The Beneath the Tree Pop & Slot Advent Calendar begins flat and, over 24 days, becomes an enchanting three-dimensional woodland celebration. Illustrated by Antoana Oreski, each numbered day reveals another piece to pop out and add to the gathering beneath the Christmas tree.
Birds, woodland animals, mushrooms, and tiny forest treasures gradually fill the scene, turning the countdown itself into something you make. By Christmas, all 24 pop-out pieces have come together around the decorated tree to create a freestanding woodland display measuring approximately 12 x 12 inches.
Made from sturdy FSC® certified cardboard, Beneath the Tree is designed to be more than a one-season countdown. Carefully pack the pieces away after the holidays, then bring them back next December and build the little woodland world all over again.

Why We Love It
Every day gets to add something to the story.
We love that this advent calendar doesn't simply reveal a picture behind a door—you make the scene together, one bird, mushroom, woodland creature, and tiny discovery at a time. By Christmas, the countdown has become something you built, and next year you get to begin the story all over again.
Why We Love the Maker
Since 1985, Roger la Borde has been creating imaginative paper goods from its London studio, collaborating with artists and illustrators from around the world to turn everyday stationery into something worth keeping.
Their collections are colorful, curious, and frequently a little magical, bringing distinctive illustration to letter writing, journals, cards, calendars, and gifts.
We especially love the collaborations. Roger la Borde gives wonderful artists like Antoana Oreski room to create entire little worlds on paper—and sometimes gives us the pieces to build those worlds ourselves.
