Let the wild rumpus begin.
A parade of mischievous black-and-white cats dances, tumbles, and makes a general joyful nuisance of itself across Shelley Couvillion’s Cat Dance & Star Washi Tape.
Inspired by the expressive charm of vintage cat illustrations and the wonderfully unruly spirit of classic children’s books, these hand-drawn cats look as though they’ve discovered that nobody is supervising the stationery drawer.
The monochrome design makes it surprisingly versatile: playful enough to be the star of a journal spread, but easy to mix with colorful papers, stickers, collage, and other patterned tapes.

Why We Love It
These cats have plans. None of them involve behaving.
There’s something wonderfully old-storybook about this design. The limited black-and-white palette gives it a vintage illustrated feel, while the cats themselves are all movement and personality.
It can go gothic. It can go whimsical. It can live happily in a children’s-book-inspired journal or next to something decidedly witchier.
Mostly, though, we love that it looks like the cats are having an excellent time.
