“I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream.”

Created for Gallery Nucleus’s Once Upon a Dream Sleeping Beauty exhibition, where Natalie Andrewson’s work appeared alongside Eyvind Earle’s iconic serigraphs, Fateful Prophecy captures a quiet, enchanted moment suspended somewhere between destiny and memory.

This smaller edition brings that storybook world into an intimate 8.5" × 11" format. Hand printed by Natalie in her Los Angeles studio, the three-color Risograph layers blue, fluorescent pink, and yellow inks to create a luminous image with all the texture and character of the Riso process.

Why We Love It

There’s something wonderfully dreamlike about this one — saturated color, fairytale mystery, and just enough darkness around the edges. The smaller scale makes it especially lovely tucked into a gallery wall, reading nook, or little corner that deserves a story of its own.

About the Risograph Process

Risograph printing is delightfully imperfect. Each color is printed separately, so slight shifts in registration and occasional roller marks are a natural part of the process. These variations give every print its own character.

About the Artist

Natalie Andrewson is an illustrator, cartoonist, and printmaker known for vibrant, narrative Risograph prints. Inspired by the fantasy and folklore she grew up with among the creeks and woods of North Carolina, she now lives and works in Los Angeles, printing and shipping her work from her Atwater Village studio.
