A cascade of wisteria, made by hand and permanently in bloom.
The Felt Wisteria Flower Craft Kit turns sheets of felt into graceful hanging clusters of wisteria, complete with dimensional blossoms, leafy stems, and flexible wired branches.
This one is especially fun because the finished flowers are a little difficult to imagine from the raw materials. You begin with flat felt, wire, thread, and floristry tape, then gradually build individual petals and blossoms along each stem. Gathered together, they become those wonderfully long, draping flower clusters that make wisteria so distinctive.
No sewing experience is required, making the project approachable for newer makers while still offering plenty of repetitive, satisfying handwork for experienced crafters.
Once finished, the stems can be arranged on a found branch, worked into a wreath, added to a floral arrangement, or used wherever you'd like a little permanently blooming botanical drama.

Why We Love It
Flat felt has absolutely no business turning into this.
That's what makes this kit so interesting.
The individual pieces don't look particularly complicated: little felt leaves, strips and shapes of purple and white, some wire. But repetition changes everything. One blossom becomes a stem. Several stems become that unmistakable drooping wisteria shape, and suddenly you've made something that looks remarkably botanical from a handful of very non-botanical materials.
We also love that the finished flowers aren't locked into one prescribed project. Make the wisteria first. Decide where it grows later.
Hang it from a branch. Add it to a wreath. Work it into something entirely your own.
The craft supplies have autonomy now. We can't very well take it away from the flowers.
