A little midsummer magic for walls, windows, shelves, reading corners, and seasonal gatherings.

Inspired by folklore surrounding the summer solstice, this beautifully illustrated paper garland celebrates the strange and celebratory traditions tied to the longest days of the year — when feasts are lit by firelight, fae roam freely, witches gather beneath the moon, and old stories feel just a little closer to the surface.

The garland features eight folklore-inspired illustrations, including references to Walpurgisnacht, the Oak King, and other midsummer legends woven through European seasonal traditions. Printed on both sides with short folktale descriptions on the reverse, it feels a bit like hanging up pages from a tiny wandering folklore archive.

Lightweight and easy to drape, it adds a whimsical, storybook-inspired touch to cozy spaces, seasonal decor, creative studios, game rooms, and nature-inspired homes.

Why We Love It

This one feels especially magical — equal parts folklore collection, seasonal celebration, and tiny curiosity-shop treasure. We love decor that sparks conversation and imagination, and this garland feels like something discovered hanging in the corner of an old forest cottage library.

About the Maker

Hissing Mink creates colorful, quirky paper goods and small home treasures inspired by the flora, fauna, folklore, and ecosystems of the Pacific Northwest. Designed, made, and packaged on Mayne Island in British Columbia, their work blends naturalist curiosity with playful storytelling — somewhere between a field guide, a folklore collection, and a cozy little curiosity shop.

We especially love how their pieces celebrate the wild details often overlooked: wetlands, shorebirds, cryptids, native plants, tide pools, and woodland creatures alike.
