Welcome to Humblewood, a lush woodland realm of birdfolk and humblefolk, ancient trees, bustling settlements, and a natural world whose balance is beginning to unravel.

The Humblewood Box Set is a campaign setting for 5th Edition fantasy roleplaying, introducing new playable folk, creatures, magic, and an adventure that takes characters from 1st through 5th level.

At the heart of the setting is Humblewood itself, a mystical forest nestled between the Crest Mountains and the marshes of the Mokk Fields. For generations, the birdfolk have governed from the great tree-city of Alderheart, while communities of humblefolk have made their homes throughout the Wood.

Now, fires are spreading.

Homes are being destroyed, the forest has been thrown into chaos, and resentment is growing as birdfolk cities escape some of the worst devastation. Something is wrong in Humblewood—and a new group of adventurers is about to become part of what happens next.

The Story Begins with Fire

Humblewood has endured for centuries through the industry and compassion of its people.

But now fires are ravaging the forest, destroying homes and displacing the humblefolk who live there. Meanwhile, the great birdfolk cities have so far escaped much of the destruction.

Fear and loss are beginning to turn into resentment.

Your party enters a world where the immediate danger of the fires is only part of the problem—and discovering what is happening may require navigating the relationships between the people who call the Wood home.

Why We Love It

The setting has an identity immediately. This isn't simply a familiar fantasy world populated by woodland animals. Alderheart, the Great Rhythm, the birdfolk and humblefolk, and the threatened forest give Humblewood a character all its own.
