The British Birds – Jenny Wren Needle Felting Craft Kit from The Crafty Kit Company is a beginner-friendly project inspired by one of Britain's smallest and most recognizable garden birds.

Using 100% Corriedale wool, you'll build your wren around a simple internal structure, gradually shaping her rounded body and adding the small details that turn a bundle of fibers into a decidedly bird-shaped little character. Glass eyes provide the finishing touch, while full-color step-by-step instructions and photographs guide you through the process from start to finish.

Designed as a Beginner-level project, Jenny takes approximately two hours to make and finishes at around 13 cm—an approachable introduction to three-dimensional needle felting and a lovely project for bird enthusiasts.

Wrens have that wonderfully compact, slightly puffed-up silhouette that seems almost pre-designed for needle felting.

This kit gives beginners a chance to practice the fundamentals of building form, shaping wool, and adding details without requiring a particularly long project. About two hours takes you from loose fibers to an entire little bird.

And at roughly 13 cm, she's smaller than our rather commanding 20 cm puffin—which feels correct.
