Pick a pattern. Pick a color. Then another.
The Kaleidoscope Designs Artist’s Coloring Book is filled with 31 intricate geometric designs inspired by the shifting patterns and symmetry of a kaleidoscope.
There’s no particular technique to learn and no correct palette to choose. Follow the symmetry, deliberately break it, work through an entire design in shades of blue, or discover halfway through that apparently everything needs to be orange now.
Each design is printed on heavyweight, acid-free paper, with artwork on one side of the page only. Micro-perforations make finished pieces easy to remove for displaying, sharing, or simply admiring somewhere other than inside the book.
The binding is designed to lie flat while you work, giving you plenty of room to settle in and follow the pattern wherever it goes.

Why We Love It
Sometimes choosing the colors is enough of a project.
There’s something lovely about beginning with the drawing already done. You don't need an idea. You don't need to know how to sketch. You don't even need to know what you're making.
You just choose the first color.
The repeating patterns make this particularly fun for experimenting: try complementary colors, make a limited palette, alternate warm and cool tones—or completely disregard color theory because you have acquired a particularly excellent shade of green and intend to use it everywhere.
No blank-page problem. Just a place to begin.
