Stitch a little magic into your day.

The Moth Embroidered Doll Kit is a richly textured project for confident beginners and experienced stitchers who want something immersive, tactile, and a little unusual.

This Level 3 design uses a wide variety of stitches across most of the fabric surface, creating a satisfying challenge and a beautifully detailed finished doll. The pattern is hand screen-printed directly onto cotton with vibrant, water-based inks, so there’s no tracing or transferring required.

Work your way through the design, assemble and stuff your moth, and finish with a handmade piece approximately 4.5" tall.

Kit Includes

  • Screen-printed pattern on cotton fabric
  • Coordinating backing fabric
  • No. 9 embroidery needle
  • DMC embroidery floss
  • Stuffing
  • Step-by-step instructions
  • Full-color image of the finished doll
  • Screen-printed packaging

Skill Level: Level 3 – Confident beginners and beyond
Recommended Age: 12+
Finished Size: Approximately 4.5" (11 cm) tall
You’ll Also Need: 6" embroidery hoop

Why We Love It

There’s something especially satisfying about watching a heavily stitched surface slowly come alive.

The moth design gives you plenty of room to settle into the rhythm of the work—building texture, detail, and pattern one section at a time—until the flat fabric becomes something dimensional and full of personality.

It’s the kind of project that rewards patience without feeling precious about it.

And at the end, you have a moth.

A very good outcome.
