Kamala Khan’s world is getting bigger—and considerably more complicated.

In Ms. Marvel, Vol. 2: Generation Why, Kamala Khan continues finding her way as Ms. Marvel while balancing superhero responsibilities with family, friendships, expectations, and her evolving understanding of who she wants to be.

As the stakes grow beyond Jersey City, the series keeps the humor, warmth, and wonderfully human perspective that made Kamala’s introduction so memorable. Superhero adventure sits comfortably alongside everyday uncertainty, giving Kamala room to make mistakes, ask questions, and discover that becoming a hero is very much a work in progress.

Why We Love It

The first volume introduces us to Kamala. This one gets to ask: Okay, you're a superhero now. What are you going to do with that?

We love that her world can grow without losing the smaller things that make the series work. Family, friendships, awkward moments, expectations, and uncertainty still matter—even when the problems become considerably more superpowered.

Kamala is learning as she goes.

Which, really, is how most good heroes begin.
