Oriole Pop-Out Bird Letterpress Greeting Card

A messenger ready to take flight from the palm of your hand.

The Oriole Pop-Out Bird Card begins as a beautifully printed flat greeting card, then transforms into a striking three-dimensional paper bird. Letterpress printed in bold black and bright orange inks on soft 100% cotton paper, the oriole is die-cut for easy pop-out assembly and includes a string for hanging.

Write a note or birthday wish on the back, tuck it into the included kraft envelope, and send someone a greeting that doesn't have to disappear into a drawer. Once assembled, the oriole becomes a miniature paper sculpture ready to hang or display.

Part card, part keepsake, and a little bit of paper magic.

Why We Love It

A card that turns into a bird? Absolutely. We love that your message gets to arrive first, and then the paper itself becomes part of the gift—a cheerful little oriole that can stick around long after the envelope is gone.

Why We Love the Maker

Blackbird Letterpress makes paper feel special.

Founded in Louisiana around an 1,100-pound Chandler & Price press, Blackbird Letterpress has grown from a tiny back-room printshop into a working studio filled with vintage presses, rescued type, beautiful paper, and a couple of famously frisky shop dogs. Their work celebrates the tactile character of letterpress printing and the pleasure of making something thoughtfully by hand.
