Step into the illustrated world of Matt Dixon, where adorable mechanical friends hum to life and teamwork is…optional, but sharing is required.

Transmissions is a clever strategy game where players share robots as workers, moving them around a rondel-style board to collect engrams and electricity.

Use those resources to gather ideas that improve how you use the robots, or collect items that score points at the end of the game. Along the way, you’ll build your own network of connected, flowing pipes—and if you can attract a few birds and butterflies, even better.

The clever part is that the robots don't belong exclusively to you. Everyone is working with the same little mechanical crew, so choosing where and how to use them becomes part of the puzzle.

It’s strategic without being icy, with a distinctive worker-sharing system, wonderful illustrations, and miniature robots that make the table feel inviting before you've even taken your first turn.

Why We Love It

Shared workers change the puzzle. The robots are available to everyone, creating an unusual layer of interaction without turning the game combative.

Matt Dixon’s world is lovely to inhabit. Robots, birds, butterflies, pipes, and small mechanical details give the whole game an unexpectedly warm personality.

There's plenty to tinker with. Ideas, items, resources, and pipe networks offer several satisfying ways to build toward your final score.

Those little robots. Sometimes excellent game design comes with excellent tiny mechanical friends.
