A little stretch of the Salish Sea, strung across the room.
The Salish Sea Paper Garland celebrates the marine life of the coastal waters shared by Washington and British Columbia. Colorful illustrated species inspired by this remarkable ecosystem create a playful paper procession filled with Pacific Northwest naturalist charm.
At approximately 7–8 feet long, the lightweight garland has plenty of room to wander across a window, bookshelf, reading nook, classroom, cabin, nursery, or creative space. Drape it wherever you'd like a reminder of salt water, island shorelines, and the wild lives unfolding just beneath the surface.
Designed, made, and packaged on Mayne Island, British Columbia—right in the Salish Sea—this is a particularly lovely little piece of the region to bring home.

Why We Love It
This one really does come from home waters. We love that a maker living in the Salish Sea has turned the creatures of that ecosystem into a tiny traveling celebration of the place itself. Hang it up and suddenly there's a little more shoreline, salt water, and Pacific Northwest wildness in the room.
Why We Love the Maker
Hissing Mink creates colorful, quirky paper goods and small home treasures inspired by the flora, fauna, folklore, and ecosystems of the Pacific Northwest.
Designed, made, and packaged on Mayne Island in British Columbia, their work lands somewhere between a field guide, a folklore collection, and a wonderfully peculiar little curiosity shop. We especially love their attention to the wild things that are easy to overlook—from wetlands and shorebirds to native plants, tide pools, woodland creatures, and the occasional cryptid.
Women-owned, handmade, and proudly not on Amazon.
