The campaign has left the table. This seems bad.

The worlds of Rick and Morty and Dungeons & Dragons collide again in Rick and Morty vs. Dungeons & Dragons II, an all-new companion story that turns the previous adventure inside out.

Last time, Rick, Morty, and the Smith family ventured into magical D&D worlds. This time, the adventure comes to Earth—bringing monsters, magic, mayhem, and the Painscape along with it.

Writer Jim Zub reunites with Eisner-nominated cartoonist Troy Little for another gleefully chaotic collision between the world's most famous role-playing game and one spectacularly dysfunctional animated family.

Part fantasy adventure, part pop-culture mashup, and entirely aware of just how strange this crossover is, it's a comic for readers who like their Dungeons & Dragons with a generous helping of interdimensional nonsense.

Why We Love It

There is something deeply D&D about a story beginning with:

“Well, last time we went there. This time it came here.”

That's the sort of escalation we recognize.

We also appreciate any book confident enough to bring together Dungeons & Dragons, Rick and Morty, interdimensional catastrophe, and jokes about THAC0.

Some crossovers need explaining.

This one really doesn't.
