Witch Cook brings one of Natalie Andrewson’s mysterious little worlds into a compact, nearly square print. With its witchy subject and saturated layers of color, the scene feels like we've arrived in the middle of something already underway—and we'll have to do a little looking to figure out the rest.

Hand printed by Natalie Andrewson in her Los Angeles studio, this three-color Risograph layers blue, fluorescent pink, and fluorescent orange inks for especially vivid color.

Why We Love It

Natalie hasn't told us what's cooking, and we're not going to pretend we know. But a witch in the kitchen with something underway is precisely the sort of unanswered question we enjoy having on the wall.

About the Risograph Process

Risograph printing is delightfully imperfect. Each color is printed separately, so slight shifts in registration and occasional roller marks are a natural part of the process. These variations give every print its own character.

About the Artist

Natalie Andrewson is an illustrator, cartoonist, and printmaker known for vibrant, narrative Risograph prints. Inspired by the fantasy and folklore she grew up with among the creeks and woods of North Carolina, she now lives and works in Los Angeles, printing from her Atwater Village studio.
